Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you request a quotation, book our services or permit work to begin.

Last Updated: 8 August 2026

Welcome to TurnBright Gardens. These Terms & Conditions apply to all gardening, landscaping, pressure washing and related services provided by TurnBright Gardens. By accepting a quotation, booking our services or permitting work to commence, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Quotations

  • All quotations are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry.
  • If the scope of work changes after a quotation has been accepted, additional charges may apply.
  • Quotations remain valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

2. Payments

  • Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We reserve the right to request a deposit for larger projects.
  • Late payments may be subject to interest and reasonable recovery costs where permitted by law.

3. Access

The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the property and working areas throughout the duration of the job.

Any delays caused by restricted access, locked gates or unavailable utilities may result in additional charges.

4. Garden Maintenance & Garden Clearance

Garden maintenance applies to gardens that are regularly maintained and generally require routine upkeep such as lawn mowing, edging, light pruning and light weeding.

Garden clearance applies to gardens requiring more extensive work, including but not limited to overgrown lawns, heavy hedge reductions, significant weed removal, extensive cutting back and heavily neglected flower beds.

Where the actual condition of the garden differs significantly from the information or photographs originally provided, we reserve the right to revise our quotation before continuing.

5. Green Waste

Unless specifically included within the quotation, the removal of green waste is charged separately.

If the client chooses to retain green waste on site, it will be left in a mutually agreed location.

6. Weather

Certain services cannot be completed safely or to an acceptable standard during adverse weather conditions.

Where necessary, we may postpone work until suitable conditions return. This will not be treated as a cancellation.

7. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

  • Informing us of any underground services, irrigation systems, cables, pipes or hidden obstacles known to them.
  • Removing or securing fragile ornaments, garden decorations, pots, toys, furniture and other valuable items from the working area.
  • Ensuring pets and children remain away from active work areas.

TurnBright Gardens cannot accept responsibility for damage to items that have been left within the immediate working area where they could reasonably have been removed beforehand.

8. Inherent Risks of Gardening Works

Gardening and landscaping activities involve the use of powered machinery including lawnmowers, grass strimmers, hedge trimmers, brush cutters and similar equipment.

The client acknowledges that these activities carry an inherent risk of flying stones, gravel, sticks, debris and other materials which may occasionally cause accidental damage despite reasonable care being taken.

TurnBright Gardens will:

  • Carry out all work using reasonable skill and care.
  • Take practical steps to minimise foreseeable risks.
  • Use protective screens where available and/or appropriate.
  • Stop work or discuss alternative methods where we believe the risk of damage is unreasonably high.

By booking our services, the client acknowledges these inherent risks and agrees that accidental damage may occur despite reasonable precautions being taken.

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

9. Existing Damage

TurnBright Gardens cannot accept responsibility for defects, deterioration or damage that existed before work commenced.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Loose paving
  • Weak fencing
  • Rotten timber
  • Cracked render
  • Existing damaged glass
  • Worn turf
  • Unstable walls

10. Pressure Washing

Pressure washing may expose pre-existing defects including loose pointing, cracked paving, damaged concrete, loose paint, deteriorated sealants and weakened surfaces.

By requesting pressure washing services, the client accepts these inherent risks.

11. Artificial Grass & Landscaping

Natural settlement of sub-base materials may occur after installation.

Minor settlement within the first few months is considered normal and does not necessarily indicate faulty workmanship.

12. Delays Beyond Our Control

We shall not be liable for delays caused by severe weather, supplier shortages, traffic incidents, illness, mechanical breakdowns or any event beyond our reasonable control.

13. Photographs

Unless requested otherwise by the client before work begins, TurnBright Gardens may take photographs of completed work for quality records, training and marketing purposes.

We will never intentionally publish personal information or images that identify occupants without permission.

14. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible so that we have the opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
